Sandpiper Condominiums Prepares for Major Renovations

Sandpiper Condominiums is in the process of a major renovation to improve the overall building. In 2023 Sandpiper will begin the process of replacing and upgrading all window and sliding glass door systems in the building. Upon completion this means that all units will have increased weather protection, increased unit insulation and better sound dampening. This is a large project for the condo owners, and we know you are going to love the result.

We understand that this project brings up questions for those have already booked or are considering staying with us during this improvement phase. In efforts to help create a better experience for our guests while they stay with us during this time, we have created a FAQ section below for our guests.

Boardwalk at Sandpiper Condominiums

Construction will be performed in phases. The initial phase will include common area windows which include offices and lobby areas.  The first phase is expected to begin April 2023.  This first phase will also include limited condo unit replacement.  Phase two will include replacing the remaining unit windows and sliding glass doors.  Phase two is expected to begin September 2023.

Phase One will include the first-floor offices, lobby areas and elevator lobbies.

Phase Two will pertain to the individual condos and the replacement of their Gulf & Bayside windows as well as the sliding glass doors.

Condo Availability

Some of the projects will impact the ability to occupy certain condos, which means it is possible the vacation rental you chose would be unavailable. In the event this occurs you will be contacted ahead of time to relocate and give options.

Property / Amenity Access

There will periods of time when certain common areas will be blocked off and / or inaccessible. This will include the main lobby area when windows are being replaced. This will also include elevator landings. For a period of time, each elevator landing will be inaccessible. This may create a scenario in which guests will need to exit the floor above or below then utilize the stairwell to reach the desired floor level. Please note that we will provide detours and best alternative routes.

Noise Level Expectation & Construction Schedule

Expect elevated construction noises during the day that would be scheduled to start at 7AM with the hope of ending the day by 5PM and by no later than 7PM.  The noisiest of the work will be during midday.

Parking & Entry Way

There will be limited parking due to contractor supply and lay down yard. Some of the handicap parking spaces will be relocated as there will be an equipment lift installed at the front of the property.

Our team is sending multiple communications out to all guests ahead of time to help assist with questions and relocating those who have chosen a condo that will be affected during the time of their stay.

In the event that your condo is unavailable due to impacts of the project, you will receive a phone call from our reservations team along with an email to discuss other available condos for your stay dates.

If access to their condo is directly impacted, you will receive an email notification to include detours / alternative routes.

Our team is sending multiple communications out to all guests ahead of time to help assist with questions and relocating those who have chosen a condo that will be affected during the time of their stay. The options would be that of being transferred to a different unit, based on availability, that is not directly affected during the stay dates or offering of a full refund with no cancellation penalties if within the cancellation policy guidelines.

Construction will take place Monday through Saturday. Periods of elevated noise will occur between the hours of 9 am – 5 pm. You may see workers onsite from 7 am – 7 pm.
